Lightning Brewery Charity & Non-Profit Giving
At Lightning we enjoy contributing to the community while sharing our Premium Lightning Beer. However, please take into consideration that we have a continuous stream of donation requests, and we are not able to give every-time, but, we do give generously to number of causes each month. We prefer donating to our neighbors in Poway, Scripps Ranch, or Rancho Bernardo, however, we also contribute to events throughout San Diego County.

If you are with a local non-profit or charity and would like us to consider donating to your fundraiser or event, please submit a formal donation request letter with your bona fide non-profit tax-ID number via email to: Lightning Marketing Director, info@lightningbrewery.com. Also, please provide an overview of the event along with a list of the other participants and information on how the event will be publicized.

Our raffle or silent auction gift basket is sure to heat up giving at your event! Our gift basket includes a Lightning T-Shirt, a Lightning Hat, a Lightning Pint Glass, a One Liter “Lightning, EuroGrowler” Bottle with a Lightning Gift Certificate for a one liter beer fill, and all of this is packaged in a handsome gift basket. Lightning Brewery Keg Beer Donation:
Premium Lightning Keg Beer which you pick-up at the Brewery. We provide signage that introduces the beer and you do the rest. (Keg Deposit Necessary.) Approximate Retail Value $100.00 Per Keg.

Lightning Brewery Event Beer Service:
Our event beer service is the ultimate premium micro-brew experience for your event guests. We can provide up to two kegs of beer, enough for about 150 to 200 persons. One 50 liter keg (about 140, 12 oz servings) typically of Lightning Kolsch Style Ale and another 50 liter keg typically of American Amber Ale (also, about 140, 12 oz servings). We also provide a 3ft by 6ft serving table with a logoed table-covering and signage that introduces the beer. A beer dispensing “Jockey Box” with all of the tubes and a CO2 canister with a back-up. We attend the event, mingle with guests, and set-up and break down the equipment at the end of the event. Approximate Retail Value $500.00

The venue/charity must provide two trained/informed beer servers and accept the liability associated with serving alcohol, you must effectively ID people to eliminate underage drinking. You must control beer consumption to ensure responsible drinking. You provide about six extra-large bags of ice to fill the jockey box and ice down the kegs, also, provide plastic serving cups based upon projected attendance.

You will need to obtain, and show us, a license from the California, ABC to sell/dispense beer for the afternoon/evening.
